A Bay Area-based Greek franchise plans on opening two restaurants in Rocklin and Roseville as early as late spring.

The first store will be in Roseville’s Nugget Plaza along Pleasant Grove Boulevard. The second Placer County restaurant will be located at Rocklin Commons on Sierra College Boulevard.

Nick The Greek Souvlaki & Gyro House serves authentic Greek recipes like falafel, gyros and pitas in a friendly and fast-moving environment. Here’s a look at some of the delicious food items.

In the gyro and pita category, Nick The Greek has you covered. The restaurant uses a seasoned beef and lamb mix for the perfect vertical rotisserie. It’s served with warm pita bread, fries, tomatoes, onions and tzatziki sauce. Pork and chicken gyros are also available. For pitas, customers enjoy the classic falafel pita or the beefteki, a ground beef patty that can be paired with traditional sauce or ketchup and mustard.

For bigger appetites, Nick The Greek offers plate meals, including chicken souvlaki and skewered chicken seasoned with special spices and cooked over open flames. It’s served with french fries, rice or side salad. Pita bread is included. The gyro and falafel plate are two popular options that let you pick the featured protein.

Don’t forget to try Nick The Greek’s avgolemono soup. The famous lemony concoction is made with orzo pasta and fresh eggs. The gyro salad is packed with fresh spinach and arugula and comes with pita bread and the signature honey balsamic vinaigrette. It’s topped off with your choice of meat.
