From beep, beep, to zoom, zoom.
Placer County residents are rejoicing the addition of a third lane on Highway 65 that will ease the flow of traffic along the busy corridor.
The highway construction project was completed earlier in September after nearly 16 months of work.
The added northbound lane is near Interstate 80 toward Stanford Ranch Road, a gateway to the Roseville Galleria at Roseville and other shopping and dining destinations.
Crews also finished off the lane by adding new striping.
The construction reconfigures the on-ramp at Galleria Boulevard.
This first phase of the Interstate 80 and Highway 65 improvements will bring some much-needed relief and greater access to this incredible part of Placer County.
