The 2020 PDGA Women’s Disc Golf Championships are on their way to Rocklin, thanks to recent upgrades made to a disc golf course at Johnson-Springview Park.

The additional 18 baskets added to the park’s course elevated it to the standard of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) specifications to host such an event. The PDGA gives the Rocklin Disc Golf Course at Johnson Springview Park a 3.8 out 4-star rating on its website, describing it as an “Excellent mix of long and medium holes meandering through mature oaks with a creek that comes into play on several holes.”

The tournament is expected to take place in September 2020, and Johnson-Springview Park is one of three parks in Placer County that will play host to the tournament.

For those who don’t know, disc golf is similar to regular golf in nature, but instead of clubs and golf balls, the players utilize a disc/Frisbee and toss it into baskets placed throughout a course.

Hosting this tournament is yet another example of how much this region continues to draw attention. It is a wonderful place to live, and if you have any questions about purchasing real estate in the area, make sure to contact us.
