Roseville has embraced a mixture of housing options to attract future residents. That awareness of housing needs has led to national recognition for the city’s ability to attract young families.

A new survey by SmartAsset.com named Roseville a top city where young families under the age of 35 years are buying homes. While homeownership rates for young adults are down nationally, Roseville is seeing a healthy rise of new millennial homeowners.

To come up with its findings, the survey took numbers from 2019 homeownership among individuals of the age of 35 and compared them with 10-year changes in homeownership rates. SmartAsset.com did this with 200 of the largest cities. Each city’s average ranking was given a final score on a 100-point scale. Roseville finished 14th on a list of cities with the fastest-growing homeownership rates for this group.
