Roseville was once known as “Junction” in 1864. It was during this time when it served as the location where the first transcontinental railroad and California Central Railroad crossed. “Junction” would later become a trading post for farmers, and then in 1906, Southern Pacific Railroad relocated to Junction, and three years later the town incorporated. It was then that the city of Roseville came to be. Today, Roseville developed into a city with 128,615 people and encompasses 42 square miles. The city has great schools, plentiful restaurant options, a water park, various golf courses, a ton of employment opportunities, biking and hiking trails and more.
