The number of single-family homes for sale in Granite Bay increased by 5 percent this month.

There are currently 68 homes for sale in Granite Bay.

With a population of 20,402, Granite Bay is an unincorporated area of Placer County with top-notch schools, fun recreational activities and some of the regions’ most luxurious homes. Granite Bay covers 25 square miles. The area was originally known as “Granite Bar” during the 1950s as gold miners stopped along the American River. Granite Bay makes for a great place to live for those who commute to Roseville, Folsom or Sacramento to work and offers a rural lifestyle with rolling land and steep hillsides. It also features a variety of creeks and grasslands.

In neighboring Rocklin, the number of homes sold increased 18 percent over the last month. Rocklin has been considered one of the fastest growing cities in California (60 percent growth since 2000). Situated right off I-80 and Highway 65, residents have easy access to Sacramento and other cities in the area.
