The Sacramento/Roseville area was the largest growth city in the country in 2018.
U-Haul analyzed U.S. migration trends over the year to come to this conclusion. The research uncovered the fact that arrivals of one-way U-Haul trucks increased 7 percent and departures only increased 1 percent over the previous year’s numbers, which helped placed it at the top of the pack. Sacramento/Roseville placed just ahead of the other top cities: Spring, TX; Manhattan, NY; Harrisburg, PA; Grand Rapids, MI; and San Francisco.
Neighbor cities like Sacramento and Roseville are grouped together by U-Haul because of their close proximity.
It wasn’t that long ago that Roseville was named as one of the top cities in the U.S. for first-time home buyers, and that Placer County was named the No. 1 county in the state for quality of life.
Clearly, people are starting to catch on to all that this area has to offer.
