Placer County is one the best counties in California to live in terms of quality of life, according to the latest County Health Rankings.
The rankings, conducted by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, are determined by a model of population health that emphasizes the many “social, economic, physical, clinical, and other factors that influence both how long and how well we live.”
In addition to ranking No. 1 in Quality of Life, Placer County also ranked:
- Second in Social and Economic Factors;
- Third in Health Factors; and
- Fourth in the state in terms of Overall Health Outcomes.
It’s worth noting that Placer County received some of the highest marks for a county outside of the Bay Area. Factors that come into play include the area’s schools, businesses and recreational activities available.
We already knew Placer County was an amazing place to live, and this study is just more proof of that!
