The warm Sacramento region summer is right around the corner and soon Roseville residents will be flocking outdoors to enjoy the sunshine.

For parents looking for places to let their kids cool off and get some exercise at the same time, there are a variety of public pool and water facilities to bring them to, some of which open this weekend.

  • The Roseville Aquatics Center opens its recreational swim hours on May 25 on the weekends from 1 to 5 pm.
  • Over at The Fountains, the splash pad opens for the first time of the season on Memorial Day. It is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • On June 10, the Mike Shellito Indoor Pool opens its Recreational Swim hours on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and Sunday. Mon-Wed is 1 to 3:30 p.m., and 1 to 4 p.m. on the weekends.
  • Then on June 11, recreational swim hours open up at Johnson Pool on June 11 (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) from 1 to 4 p.m.
