Rocklin is a community that is supportive and comes together to help one another.
An example of this is that on March 21, the city will be recognizing World Down Syndrome Day. Joining the United Nations and people around the world, the city passed a resolution to recognize the day, which was established to celebrate the lives of those who have down syndrome and to help ensure they have the opportunities they deserve.
To do its part, the city of Rocklin is accepting feedback on its existing infrastructure, such as installation of special therapeutic swings that improve accessibility at eight of its parks. The Rocklin Unified School District also has integrated programs such as Unified Sports, where those with and without disabilities compete on teams together.
This is just another example of how this community and its institutions promote inclusion and is a wonderful place to raise a family. Yet, another reason we Heart Placer!
