Families looking to escape the heat in the warm summer months of Rocklin may soon have another option.

Johnson Springview Park, located at 5480 5th St, Rocklin, CA 95677, could be getting a new splash pad. The water play area will feature unique natural elements like waterfalls and granite rock to highlight the natural environment found around Rocklin. The splash pad will be equipped with things like bubblers and a tunnel through a boulder.

On June 11, the Rocklin City Council is set to vote on whether to move forward with a contractor that submitted a bid for the project. If approved, the city expects that the new splash pad could be complete by October 2019, setting up an additional summer option for families in 2020.

Rocklin currently has two parks with splash pads – Kathy Lund Park and Whitney Park.

The variety of great parks in Rocklin and across the region are just another reason why we Heart Placer!
