Thanksgiving is all about getting together with family and friends and enjoying a good meal together. There are other things you can do around this great community though.

Roseville Turkey Trot

If you want to get out of the house and get some exercise in before you enjoy that plentiful Thanksgiving dinner, you should register to participate in the Roseville Turkey Trot. This 5K and 10k allows attendees to race, run, jog, walk and even bring strollers for the kids.

Loomis Day Before Thanksgiving Day Parade

Nov. 21, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

This Thanksgiving tradition is one you won’t want to miss. It is free and put on by the Loomis Chamber of Commerce. Get out and celebrate Thanksgiving early with the community so you can spend the whole day on Thanksgiving at home with your family.

Outdoor (Holiday) Rink

Make a difference in the lives of others by helping those in need. The Placer Food Bank coordinates food drives and its volunteers assist in their mission to eliminate hunger. Consider taking some time out of your busy holiday schedule to help others.

Check Out a Movie

Relax after that big dinner at one of the many wonderful movie theaters around Placer County. Many families will surely be flocking to theaters to see Ralph Breaks the Internet and The Grinch.
