Placer County is the home to a large Veteran population and our team at iHeartPlacer is very thankful for their service.

We will honor those who have served in our military this weekend as we celebrate Veterans Day.

For those who would like to attend a Veterans Day event, we have compiled a list of what is happening around Placer County on Nov. 11.

Auburn

What: 2017 Auburn Veteran’s Day Parade. Parade will begin at the corner of Lincoln Way and Cleveland Street. A patriotic ceremony will take place at Central Square with the release of doves. There will be a fly-over, a three-volley rifle salute followed by TAPS. The parade will resume onto High Street and end at the Gold Country Fairgrounds.

Lincoln

What: Community Veterans Day Celebration. Memorial wreath laying at Veterans monument. Instrumental music by the Roseville Community Concert Band.

Where: 965 Orchard Creek Lane, Orchard Creek Lodge Ballroom

Rocklin

What: Rocklin Veteran’s Day Ceremony. The Rocklin American Legion Post 620 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 904 will join the Whitney High School Junior ROTC Color Guard for the Posting of the Colors. The Parker Whitney Elementary School chorus will sing the National Anthem. Boy Scout Troupe 29 will place flags and crosses on graves at the cemetery.
