Last year, we reported on how several updates to Downtown Roseville would make it easier for walkers and bikers to get around.

Well, the Downtown Bridges & Trail Project is now complete! As a result, the various downtown restaurants, stores and parks are all linked and accessible via a new pedestrian bridge that connects Vernon Street Town Square and Royer Park; a new paved trail that leads into Royer Park; a refurbished Rube Nelson Bridge; and more.

The project, which is part of a larger effort to revitalize the downtown area, will be acknowledged on Sept. 21 during the city’s Celebrate Downtown event, which will include live music, a carnival and Family Fest.

Roseville is a vibrant community with various places to eat, entertainment options, employment opportunities, good schools and parks. And things are consistently improving, as illustrated by this investment by the city.
